The Ken and Jenny Show

March 13, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Kenneth Hudson and Jenny Wilde of Studio 20 jointly host new individual shows in the Hardy and Nance gallery.
This is a COVID-19 conscious event, with masks required at all times while inside the building and social distancing protocols in place.
Jenny will be presenting Pandemonium: art in a time of darkness. This mixed-media exhibition was inspired by her poem, Pandemonium, written at the end of 2020 in reflection on a year of trials and loss. Jenny uses a variety of techniques involving spray paint, acrylic, texture, repetition and line to evoke the rawness of the emotions this year has engendered. Each 11×14 canvas is a separate work in itself, but the pieces speak to each other in a way that builds to a true crescendo of pandemonium. Jenny has channeled her own personal losses in combination with the shared loss of our country and the world to capture a desperate search for meaning in the dark anxious chaos of the present moment.
Ken will be presenting Yesterday, Today, and Re-imagined. This photographic exhibition will include never before exhibited analog works from Ken Hudson’s early career, new works introduced to the public for the first time and popular works from the past reimagined for 2021. A highlight will be a series of 1979 images documenting Houston’s first official Pride Parade!
